Small Animal Veterinary Receptionist

Are you a friendly, organised, and compassionate individual with a love for animals?

We are an independent small animal veterinary practice seeking a dedicated receptionist to join our team on a part time basis, two full days per week. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth running of our practice.

    • Greet clients and their pets with a warm, welcoming attitude

    • Schedule appointments, manage the appointment diary, and handle client enquiries over the phone, email, and in-person

    • Maintain accurate client and patient records, ensuring confidentiality

    • Process payments and end of day cash reconciliation

    • Assist with the general administration of the practice

    • Provide information on services offered at the practice

    • Support the veterinary team during busy periods by assisting with basic tasks

    • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role (veterinary experience is a plus but not essential as full training will be provided)

    • Excellent communication and organisational skills

    • A calm and professional manner, especially when handling busy periods or emergency situations

    • A genuine love for animals and a compassionate approach to client care

    • Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn practice management software

    • Flexibility to provide cover for annual leave is a plus

    • Work in a friendly, supportive, and close-knit team environment
